Venus is passionate about teaching music to students of all ages. She has taught piano privately for over 25 years in southern California prior to moving to Texas. In the churches that she attended, she spent a lot of her free time mentoring pianists, instrumentalists, and vocalists in the worship teams. Venus has also performed as an accompanist to choirs internationally in Australia, New Zealand, U.K., Finland and Estonia. Venus is a “Yamaha mom” as her son took the Yamaha Junior Music course when he was four years old. Very quickly Venus realized that the Yamaha method is the best way for young children to learn music and she began her journey of exploring the possibilities of starting her own Yamaha Music School.
Venus is the proud owner and director of Yamaha Music School Prosper located in Prosper Texas where she lives with her husband, Stephen, and their son, Cayden.
Venus holds a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from UCLA where she studied with piano professor Aube Tzerko. Prior to that, Venus also studied with piano professor Earle Voorhies.
