What age should my child start music lessons?

There’s never a wrong time to begin learning music! Our programs are designed for every age and skill level, from fun, engaging classes for children as young as 3–5 years old to comprehensive lessons for older kids, teens, and adults.

Do I need to own an instrument before enrolling?

We recommend having access to an instrument for regular practice. Just a few minutes each day can make a big difference, by boosting confidence, accelerating progress, and making learning more enjoyable.

Can adults with no experience join?

Yes! No experience required, just curiosity and consistency. Learning music as an adult reduces stress, sharpens the mind, and provides a creative outlet.

How do I reschedule a class?

For any scheduling changes, simply speak with a Yamaha Music School team member at the front desk. We’re happy to help you find a time that works best for you.

What makes the Yamaha Method different?

Yamaha’s comprehensive music education covers listening to, singing, playing, reading, and creating music. In accordance with children’ s physical and mental development, timely education, their most appropriate education for that time, is used. Lessons in groups enable the students to deepen their overall understanding of music through ensembles, and they also develop social and emotional skills.
